Re-Entry Work Readiness Program

Program Description: Five-week Work Readiness Program teaching critical skills designed to increase the likelihood of successful societal reintegration and confront significant barriers to self-sufficiency. Participant has the opportunity to receive $100 weekly stipend total at completion of program.  (up to $700 based on participation and attendance)

Impact’s Reentry Work Readiness Program is a 5-week program that is designed to increase the likelihood of successful societal reintegration and is conducted in two phases:

Phase One: Foundation Building (2 Weeks)

Duration: Monday to Friday

Time: 10 AM to 3 PM each day

Focus:

  • RED FISH Academy (Restored, Empowered, Determined) Curriculum: Facilitated by Dr. Lewis Dodley (10 am-12:30 pm).

  • (12:30 pm-1 pm-Lunch)

  • 1 pm- 3 pm – Facilitated by Dana Brock

    • Soft Skills Development: Enhancing communication, teamwork, and adaptability skills.

    • Successful Reentry Strategies: Tailored guidance for navigating societal reintegration.

    • Mental Health Awareness: Introducing participants to mental health resources and coping strategies.

    • Self-awareness building: Encouraging introspection and self-understanding.

    • Conflict Resolution: Teaching effective ways to resolve interpersonal conflicts.

    • Intro. Financial Literacy: Participants are introduced to the 5 foundational financial literacy concepts.

    • Know Your Rights: Participants are introduced to voting rights, expungement, record sealing, pardon, and CQE processes to increase their ability to overcome stigma and barriers.

    • Community Connectivity: Linking participants with community resources and support networks.

 

Phase Two: Skill Enhancement and Community Integration (3 Weeks)

Momentum

Duration: Monday to Thursday

Time: 9 AM to 3 PM each day

Eligibility: At or below 200% of Federal Poverty guidelines, must live in Franklin County, Must be formerly incarcerated and able to pass a drug screening.  Cannot have sex offense or arson on record. 

Documentation Needed

  • Valid driver’s license/State I.D.

  • Social Security Card

  • Verification of past 30 days income( pay stubs, pension, SSI, SSDI, child support, workers comp, TANF, utility allowance, etc..)

  • Address Verification( only if address is different from what’s on their I.D.)
