Program Description: Momentum is a three-week workforce development and training program. The program focuses on self-management and introduces a holistic approach to personal and professional development. Participants also receive work readiness training, barrier removal, and employer connection which increases competency and prepares them for the workplace.

Momentum also serves as the prerequisite to Impact’s adult workforce programs. These programs include Build-Up Core, Build Up Carpentry, Medical Assisting, and CDL vocational training and certification programs. Additionally, everyone who completes will leave with a basic understanding of personal finances and a customer service credential. Participants have the opportunity to earn $100 weekly training stipend for each week completed (for a total of $300).

Eligibility: 

  • Franklin County residents 18 and older 

  • Must be at or below 125% of Federal Poverty guidelines

  • Able to work full -time 

Curriculum Will Include: 

  • 21st Century Resume Writing and Interviewing Skills

  • Computer Literacy for Windows 10

  • 10 Critical Work Place Skills & Conflict Resolution

  • Strategic Job Search Techniques & Individual Employment Plan

  • Supportive Services & Barrier Reduction

Documentation: Picture ID, SS Card, 90 days’ proof of income (age, etc.) 

Hours of Operation:  Monday-Thursday, 9:00am – noon (Must interview and register)
