Google Announces Recipients of Ohio Grid Innovation Fund
Today, Google announced six Ohio-based organizations as the inaugural recipients of its $1 million Ohio Grid Innovation Fund. Launched in partnership with the Columbus Region Green Fund and Elevate, the initiative backs practical, community-led solutions that reinforce the state’s electric grid — supporting energy efficiency, industry workforce training, and energy education.
IMPACT Community Action, Department of Development Offering Heating Assistance to Help Avoid Chill of Winter Months
The Ohio Department of Development and IMPACT Community Action wants to help alleviate the burden of costly energy bills this winter and keep more of Ohio’s families warm.
From Nov. 1, 2024, through March 31, 2025, income-eligible Ohioans can receive one-time assistance with their home energy bill through the Department of Development’s Home Energy Assistance Winter Crisis Program.
