UPDATE: THERE ARE STILL FUNDS AVAILABLE- PLEASE GO TO RENTFUL PARTNERS FOR IMMEDIATE ASSISTANCE, HOPE FUND SUBMISSIONS WILL BE PROCESSED WITH PROCESSING EXISTING APPLICATIONS UNTIL NEW YEAR AS A PRIORITY; READ MORE BELOW:

IMPACT has rental assistance available for those struggling to pay their rent because of the pandemic.  We will continue to actively serve customers at eviction court, as well as existing applications.  We have access to an additional $40 million dollars in rent relief beyond the $52 million we have already distributed since June 2020.  The need in our community remains high, applications for assistance has increased, and in an effort to review required documentation and process efficiently, we will be prioritizing existing application processing over new applications via our Hope Fund portal until Monday, January 3rd.  This will cause extended wait times for new applications as we increase our team and work to provide better systematic service to our community. This change will go into effect on Tuesday, December 14, 2021. We still have plenty of resources to assist customers as we process and readjust moving into the new year. Those who have active applications will continue to have access to the portal to check their status and upload supportive documentation.

We encourage those in need of immediate rent assistance to apply with one of the 20 other nonprofit agencies distributing rent assistance on behalf of the City and County.  A list of those agencies can be found by CLICKING HERE. You may choose to sign up for on Hope Fund portal, but please be aware that we will NOT be contacting those via the portal until after January 3rd to begin the application process.

We continue to work on operational efficiency in a very challenging time with widespread labor shortages to get funds distributed into the hands of struggling renters and their landlords in order to provide stable housing.

  1. We are adding temporary positions to our fiscal/financial team to assist with alleviating the burden of excess wait times for payments to customers

  2. We are working with our current team to streamline processes in order to assist those customers who are in immediate need (i.e. facing eviction in the next 30 days)

  3. In Q1 2022, we are planning on increasing our hours to meet the needs of those we serve by offering extended hours

If you applied for the Emergency Rental Assistance program and were approved OR if you applied and haven’t heard back yet: Please do not reapply.  Status updates will be applied to your application. Contact IMPACT’s call center 614-252-2799, or request an inquiry ticket on the Hope Fund site https://apply.impacthopefund.org/home if you have questions.
