Legislative Alert: Contact the Ohio General Assembly to protect your right to vote!

Voting is the main form of advocacy that one can do to make change in their community. In a recent IMPACT questionnaire, it was determined that nearly 2 in 3 workers or 65% of the survey population said they had wanted to be civically engaged in the political process, yet with their voting rights on the line they’re worried that the opportunity to vote will be slim to none because of their socioeconomic status. This is troubling — all people should have equitable access to polling locations and resources to be change makers in society no matter how poor or rich they are.

46 days ago, member(s) of the Ohio House of Representatives released an attack on democracy by limiting accessibility to the ballot box and eliminating 2020 fair practices for casting your votes recently put in place by Secretary of State Frank LaRose. Right now, we are at a crossroads and need your help to tell the governing body to stop their war on those in poverty

Tell the Ohio General Assembly: Stop fighting the poor and fight for the poor! End the discriminatory hiatus you’ve started by voting no on the Enact Ohio Election Security and Modernization Act (H.B. 294).
