How do you apply for rental assistance?

What is the required documentation needed to receive assistance?

  • 30 days of previous income

  • Proof of Citizenship

  • State ID

  • Lease

  • Statement from landlord


How long before my landlord gets a check?

7 to 14 days after approved

Why won’t you help pay next month’s rent?

Customer must be past due.

Can I re-apply after being denied?

Yes, after 30 days.

Is there any way to do eviction workshop virtually?

Yes

Can I apply for services over the phone?

No, you must make an appointment for CSBG or apply online for home relief.

Can you bring children to the eviction workshop?

No

Why is eviction workshop mandatory?

Customer must go through eviction workshop to receive funds for CSBG rental assistance.

How much will you pay?

It depends on what rental program customer apply for.

What is Life Coaching?

Life Coaching is a 90-day plan to get you from crisis to being stable.

What are Supportive Services?

Supportive Services is a program that serve the community offering rental, water, furniture bank, car repair, transportation, reinstatement and expungement.

When do the appointment lines open to make an appointment?

On the first business day of every month.

How many times can they reapply in the same year for rental assistance?

CSBG rent is once every two year and Home relief until benefit amount is exhausted

How do I check the status of my Supportive Service application?

To check the status of your application please call 614-252-2799 or email supportiveservices@imapctca.org.

How long does it take to move out of initial review?

The initial review phase takes around 21 business days max, after that phase you will enter final review which takes 14 business days.

Do you assist with finding homes, apartments or condos?

No we do not, we ask that you call 211 for assistance.
