What is Momentum? 

Momentum is a two-week employment soft skills training program. 

Who is eligible? 

Franklin County residents age 18 and older who are at below 125% of Federal Poverty guidelines. 

How do I apply? 

Participants may call 614.453.1659 to schedule a phone interview. During the interview participants will learn about the program, start dates, needed documentation and be provided an appointment to complete the intake process. 

How long is the program? 

The Connections Program is two-week long. In person classes are held at IMPACT’s Head Quarters, 711 Southwood Avenue, Columbus Ohio 43207. Monday through Friday 9 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Virtual classes are held simultaneously on Zoom. 

Do I have to take a test? 

Yes. To earn the certificate of  completion all participants must take the customer services and sales skills test. Upon successful completion, participants are certified through the National Retail Federation as Specialists in Customer Service & Sales. 

How often can I take this  program? 

Participants may take this program once in a two-year  grant  cycle.

Are there any program benefits? 

The program offers a $200 per week training stipend and transportation assistance is if needed. 

Can I access other IMPACT Programs?  

Yes, self- sufficiency coordinators may make referrals to other IMPACT programs as needed. The Connections program must be completed prior to enrollment in IMPACT’s career pathways.
